Does anyone have any pics of the JR Miniatures trees or tree clusters in 6mm scale, "in action" on the tabletop? I've only found line drawings and pics of them in the bag, neither of which shows me much.

I don't have any pics. but I've got a bunch of them. They're obviously not quite as nice as the model railroad type trees but when painted up they look nice and are cheaper and less messy. The JR hedges are quite good too.

Don't forget the Coyote Miniatures trees.

You get discounts for buying larger amounts if you want to make them up into woods or forests.
