Some years ago Andy Callan wrote an article on the battle of Alcazar / El-Ksar el-Kebir (1578) that was published in Miniature Wargames. This was back in the dim and distant days when Miniature Wargames was fairly new and its editor was still Duncan Macfarlane. Does anyone remember it or know which issue it appeared in? |

Bob Nice site. I see that you used two 500 point DBR armies for the battle. Was the 500 point 'match' used to provide balanced armies for the game rather than the somewhat unbalanced historical precedent? Have you ever tried an 'imbalanced' DBR set up with, say, a 500 point army for the Portuguese and a 1000 or 1500 point army for the Moors? |
