Does anyone know when these amazing-looking 28mm Orcs will become available?

The site only says "coming soon", and they still do not show up on their catalogue (unless I'm looking in the wrong place):

Thanks.

No, they aren't in the catalogue because they aren't released yet I'm afraid. Just need a couple more sculpts from Jim and they'll be ready shortly after. With luck I'll see him at Sheffield Triples this weekend.

Tony,

Thanks. I look forward to seeing them "in the flesh" when they are ready.

I know there was a TMP News article a while back, but I cannot find it now.

I'ld like to see what it takes to bribe Tony into getting goblins made with that style for sci-fi?

Nice Orcs!

Cacique Caribe22 Mar 2007 1:49 p.m. PST

They are very nice.

Does anyone remember when that TMP News article came out, thereabouts?

Thanks.

What sort of goblins?

Tony Barr22 Mar 2007 2:57 p.m. PST

Ah yes… those guys…. :)

More of Jim's work of course, but not for me (ERM) though I did make the master mould for those.

Ursa Major Miniatures22 Mar 2007 3:01 p.m. PST

And with luck have to make another couple of moulds after the weekend.

Tony Barr22 Mar 2007 3:03 p.m. PST

Fingers crossed!

Why do those ERM/Bowen Orcs remind me of these illustrations?

Is it the lorica segmentata look?

I can't wait for them to become available!!!

Those Space Goblins are cool! Reminiscent of the aliens from Bad Taste, but with ears. When are they coming out?

Ursa Major, where are those from? Size and scale?

I'm always on the lookout for another thirty or forty space goblins.

Although I'ld still like goblins in that hairy armoured style of the Orcs.
(You hear that Tony?)

Tony Barr23 Mar 2007 8:37 a.m. PST

Yes…… But in about 20 minutes we're hitting the road for Sheffield!

Cacique Caribe23 Mar 2007 10:05 a.m. PST

Ok, guys really . . .

How did this turn into a discussion about Sci-Fi figures (Space Goblins)? :)

Check out these other threads about those "Space Goblins":

Space goblins… someone asked about them LOL

Those are called Scunners. "28mm scale" 31mm to 33mm to top of head depending on which one

With a bit of luck, the rest of the masters will be had this weekend from Jim Bowen and they can go off to Tony to make the moulds. So look at a month or so for release.

Will be available from Ursa Major Miniatures as a first release. (ERM & UMM can't tell we are both in Yorkshire can you?)

Cacique Caribe23 Mar 2007 8:23 p.m. PST

Ursa, that is indeed fantastic news!!!

I've had my eyes on those Space "Goblins" for some time now.

And I think their height will be perfect to appear somewhat large when compared to some of my other human figures. I really want them to appear somewhat imposing.

And waiting a month or two longer is not long at all. I think they will be worth the wait.

PS. Ursa, you know I was joking with you before about the derailing, right? I knew the topic of the Space Goblins would come up at some point. Thanks for the very promising update.

Will the Scunners be in scale with ERM's Corporate World suff?

Just wondering, while trying not to hijack CC's thread.

I wish there were more like these:

Very cool goblins and orcs.

Cacique Caribe02 Nov 2007 5:44 p.m. PST

Ok. Now those Jim Bowen Orcs don't even show up on that first link.

Was the project aborted?

Cacique Caribe20 May 2008 12:47 p.m. PST

Please!!!

Anyone know what happened to them?

CC

Lowtardog06 Jul 2008 2:44 p.m. PST

They are there under their ERM 25mm ranges

Cacique Caribe06 Jul 2008 5:10 p.m. PST

Hmmmm. I see several ranges designed by Jim Bowen there . . .

Their "Mythic Worlds Fantasy" range, which includes an "Orc & Goblins" range, doesn't say that they are Jim Bowen figures nor does not have any Orcs yet:
