Hi! Has anybody done business with them? Were there any problems? Thanks!

They are irredemmably bad. NEVER order from them for any reason. Scroll down on this board for umteen 1000 threads and the reasons not to order from them. |

Bwahahahaha!!!!!! link Look folks they've garnered another 8 more complaints in the last 2 months. |

Problems, in my opinion, implies that there are solutions. New Wave is pretty far beyond that. As my parents always used to say, look but don't touch. |

Well at least vonDorffy did the sensible thing by asking here first. Unless of course it was New Wave pretending to be an innocent member of the public to see if our opinion had changed about them :) Jeremey www.germy.co.uk

Well it was not a test. :-) Thanks for the warning! Don't you know who else carries the Shadowforge line? |
Rogzombie | 31 Jul 2003 8:31 a.m. PST |
I hear they are great people(sHADOWFORGE) to order directly from. |
Meiczyslaw | 31 Jul 2003 8:31 a.m. PST |
In the US, Brigade Games carries Shadowforge. |
jlstuht | 31 Jul 2003 8:33 a.m. PST |
Here in the US, try Brigade Games. Lon carries the Shadowforge line and is and excellent retailer. I've ordered tons of toys from him and his service is unbeatable. Jim S |

Go direct to Shadowforge. Seriously. I get my orders in 4-5 days. Australia to USA. Even with Postage and the lessened exchange rate these days it is still the best deal. |
Scurvy | 31 Jul 2003 10:14 a.m. PST |
Order them from Australia, with the exchange rate the price will be about the same or cheaper and they will arrive at your house. |
Goldwyrm | 31 Jul 2003 10:39 a.m. PST |
I'd also recommend Brigade Games as a retailer. |
jchokey | 31 Jul 2003 12:59 p.m. PST |
Terribly, appallingly, shamefully bad. Scan through this board, or through the Mini Dealers discussion group on Yahoo and you'll see dozens, if not hundreds of posts in which individuals talk about their bad New Wave experiences. I tried it once and regretted it-- and I wouldn't recommended them to others. |

I don't think that New Wave is intentionally dishonest or fraudulent in their dealings; I think they are just incompetent. I have received some orders but not others. It wouldn't be so bad, but they charge your credit card whether they send an order or not. Why do I give them the benefit of the doubt? Because I have received some stuff. But if they put your stuff on backorder, beware! Many times I have not received it at all, sometimes I have received it twice. I think they just have not figured out how to deal with backorders. Would I do business with them again? Hell no. As far as Shadowforge, order direct from Australia. You will get a better price due to the exchange rate (about half of what New Wave would charge), and it will reach you a LOT quicker than ordering from New Wave. |

Stay away at all cost. They are crooks!!!!!! |
Nukuhiva | 31 Jul 2003 4:48 p.m. PST |
New Wave sucks,Brigade Games rocks! |
Alxbates | 31 Jul 2003 10:02 p.m. PST |
Eccch - avoid Newwave - they charged my card, never sent the miniatures, never replied to my emails, I had to contact the Alpharetta police and file a grievance, AND post a complaint HERE before they would refund my money. |

Wasn't New Wave at Gen Con? Did anybody see them there? |
Scurvy | 01 Aug 2003 9:12 a.m. PST |
If you people keep warning everyone off there will never be the numbers needed for a proper lynch mob. .....and here I am with a fortune riding on pitchfork and flaming torch futures. |
deanoware | 01 Aug 2003 5:10 p.m. PST |
I didn't see New Wave at GENCON. I'll just my program but I only recall Brookhurst who is excellent to deal with. As for New Wave all I have to say is add me to all the other complaints here. If you want details just ask. And I "do believe it is intentional based on my own experience. In fact, I believe I was set up. |

I agree. New Wave is terrible. Their customer service is awful. I highly recommend DoorDice.com. They are great to deal with. CJ |
Rogzombie | 02 Aug 2003 8:32 p.m. PST |
Do Or Dice is another great place to order from. Never had a problem on many orders! |

No, David did NOT get a booth at Gen Con Indy. That is for certain. Sad, because I wanted to catch up with him there and get his side of the story. The official word had it among the other distributors, sculptors, pro-painters, and manufacturers, that David did not expect enough money from the venture to make it woth his while to put down the thousands required. The UNOFFICIAL word among the same folks, was that poor David was sooooo badly overwhelmed with disgruntled customers at the previous con, he decided to play it cooland just stay away. Customers are much easier to ignore when you never answer the phone. This is a pity. I never had an opportunity to ever experience a problem with Doust myself, but the horrendouse rep that New Wave is experiencing in the distribution circles is bleeding over into all other venues. I wonder if I'd EVER sculpt for him, even if he called me. Drew Williams

Sounds like a wake up call, Drew. Customer service, in some ways is even more important than the product. |

I would like to just agree with all the negatives about New Wave. I used to buy alot from them and I won't even consider it now....they are THE worst I personally have ever tried to get communication from and product service....hold your breath!! Brigade Games is super! Discount hobbies is Super! Order from anyone else and save yourself some grief. |
