Beautiful looking games. Thanks for sharing. I'm really into visual terrain boards and these were awesome! My favorites were the Boxer Rebellion, The Tortuga island, and the Anarctica submarine base.

If I win the lottery, I'll take a trip over next year. grin

Teutonic Efficiency!

I love the vignette with the brawling and carousing hussars.

Goldwyrm28 Feb 2007 6:44 a.m. PST

Oooh.. I missed that vignette. I'll have to go look at the eye candy again.

Seeing all this neat stuff is really bad considering I'm going to Cold Wars in a few weeks and will want to spend more money now..

PeteMurray28 Feb 2007 6:55 a.m. PST

At least it only makes you want to spend money.

I want to throw my stuff away and take up petanque.

Awesome stuff. What was it someone said over on the Lead Adventures forum:

German gamers come in three types:
Responsible Germans
Those with Teutonic Efficiency
And Madmen!

These boards were done by Madmen!

:-)

All beautifully done. A lot of very talented artists in the gaming field.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does the flying saucer-shaped object in the WWII German section represent?

A secret German saucer experiment. No really, that's why it was there.

Great stuff, I'm truly envious!

mindenbrush28 Feb 2007 11:00 a.m. PST

It was better in real life than the pictures can show. I was only there for 2 hours due to work commitments but it was superb

Wow.

Do three letters express how impressed I am?

I think these show why the complete non-availability of green felt and masking tape to German wargamers is, in fact, a very good thing.

Hard to believe that a series of games can have that fantastic a set of terrain.

Sorry I deleted my last entry because my typing was so bad.

I wondered if the flying saucer in the pictures started life as a wok in somebody's kitchen?

I wish my name was Ulric.

NOW you´re giving me ideas! :D

Seriously: I built the saucer using a Swiss-made plastic dish bought for 1.99€ at a local department store but was somehow disappointed because, although it comes in a handy size (some 9-10 inches across), I´d still love to build something like that:

Now I´ll be on the lookout for discounted woks to build a version able to carry my Panzer Mecha! O_o

Driscoles02 Apr 2007 2:40 a.m. PST

Indeed, that was a very good show !!

ledded03 Apr 2007 1:22 p.m. PST

That settles it.

I'm moving to Hamburg.

The grandeur of some of those tables is just stunning.
