I've recently come into possession of a bunch of the Old Glory French Foreign Legion figures, but am not sure exactly which time period they represent and how to paint them? Are there any good painting guides or illustrations of the Foreign Legion Uniforms, from the correct period? Thank you! |

The Old Glory Legion are from around 1890-1914 roughly. They would have white or pale khaki kepis & havelocks, blue-grey overcoats & white trousers. Oficers would wear black tunics with gold cuff ranking, red kepi with black base & gold trim , & white breeches. I would check out Castaway & Askari figures for other troop types to go with the Legion. The Red Shadow web site has nice wargame reports and uniform information. |

I have a pack of them in summer uniform, no greatcoat with white jackets, trousers, kepis and havelocks. Again, look at Askari Miniatures website. |

I was thrown off by the guys in the summer uniform, without coats. Thank you for the clarification! |
