Hey everyone

About a month ago, i ordered a few items from New Wave mail order. This was the first time i ordered from the site.

First, when i placeed the order, i got no order No.!!
I thought, odd.

Then when i checked my email, i didint get a confermation.
I thought, odd again.

Iv waited for about a month now and I thought thats things were fishy. So just for the record, i decided to do a search on their background.

It seems that they bill your card as soon as you order, and can take months to send the goods. Sites on the net claim that some orders have been only partly filled, and some people say they have waited up to 4 months. They also say that the site has not replied to their mails.

Now, obviously, this is NOT good!
I was wondering if anyone out there has done/about to do buisness with the company.
PLease let me know if u know of anything.
Thanks

PS this is the site.

What you describe has been typical of their business practice. I think many people just flat out refuse to order with them again.
It's been a few months since they've been mentioned so I kinda was thinking things were improving over there . . . check out the Comsumer Message Boards for more than you'll ever want to know about NW - it's been written about EXTENSIVELY . . . oh - and sorry for your loss.
Too bad too as they have great prices and great selection (listed).

Contest the charge rigt now-do not wait. If you wait you are will SOL when they don't send your items. Do it right now. The only people that don't get burned are those who contest the charges early. I think they have almost 100 complaints with the better business bureau in their home state. So, go right now-and contest the charges.

Ditto! ASAP!

Yea....

Hate to say so, but I agree. You should stop the charge and cancel the order. Don't wait on them, just do it. You'll be avoiding a headache in the future.

Definitely cancel the charge RFN. These guys have got quite the reputation. As all of the above have said don't wait for them to try and make it right.
Cheers

I have said it once I will say it again , get a lynch mob then get some payback. People used to do it all the time in the 30's.

I counted 8 posts on the Consumers Affairs boards talking about New Wave games just now.

At this point, we need to collect all the responses in those posts and assemble a general warning against New Wave that we could put on the web as a reference.

My experience with NWMO is this: My first order was incomplete with no back order notice. I called them on the phone and they said the order was marked as complete, but sent me the missing items which arrived a week later.

My second order was a pre-order. When the items were listed as 'in stock' on their website, I waited for them to arrive. More than a month later I called them on the phone and they said that the shipment they got was not what it was supposed to be, but they expected the correct shipment at any time. Two months go by and I call back and get the same answer. Another two months go by and I call and ask for a list of items that they can confirm are in stock to replace my original order. My replacement items arrived a week later, but incomplete. Another phone call was made and another shipment completed my second order. All this time the website listed the items I originally ordered as 'in stock'.

I had resolved not to order from them again, but they were the only US source for a couple things I wanted. So I placed a third order. After six weeks go by I contact them by phone and they say that my order was shipped the day after I ordered it. I note I never recieved anything and the company rep says he'll look into tracking the shipping and call me back. Two days go by and I call back and ask for the company rep by name. He says he didn't find anything and I ask if these figures are currently in stock. He replied that he would send them out to me that day. Two weeks later the items arrive with a ship date one week from the day I was told they would ship.

So I would point out that while getting anything out of them is like pulling teeth, I have always gotten my orders fulfilled one way or another eventually. But that last experience was enough for me. If I can't find another source for minis I want in the future, I'll just do without because they are too much of a hassle to deal with. That's my opinion.

This New Wave business is old wave business. They suck!

I got double billed by these idiots and it took them 3 months to straighten it out. And the minis took over a month to get to me. I only let them screw me once, never again. . .

Sigtrig22 Jul 2003 10:06 a.m. PST

They ripped me off once but never again for I remember the mantra; "Never order from New wave for they are crooked"

likeafish24 Jul 2003 1:43 a.m. PST

dont worry, NEVER again! And ill spread the word, too!

Thanks for all the stuff u have told me, also, i have tried to cancel the credit card action, but it has alrady been withdrawn from the accounT!!!
DAMN!........IS all i have to say!

stormseer26 Jul 2003 2:23 p.m. PST

Give it up! You will never get satisfaction from those people. Cancel the charge and bid them a fond farewell FOREVER! I am loathe to ascribe criminal motives to people I do not know, but from persona experience in the past with them - I WILL say at the VERY LEAST - they are the most disorganized people on the planet. Every person I have EVER talked to on this subject says the same thing: RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

likeafish27 Jul 2003 2:04 a.m. PST

I HAVE TRIED TO CANCEL THE CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!

The credit card transaction has already been done!!! TOO LATE!!!

I think this is the 3rd time i have said this!

Eclipz27 Jul 2003 4:28 a.m. PST

They are the worst. I can't believe they are still up and running.

Scott

harlock32827 Jul 2003 7:30 p.m. PST

Call your credit card company and contest the charge..Doesn't matter if the transaction is already done. Tell the CC that you never received your product(s).

likeafish28 Jul 2003 2:53 a.m. PST

Contest the charge??

Thanks, ill bear that in mind.

Tshannon29 Jul 2003 11:55 a.m. PST

Yep, it is possible to contest the charge. Different CC companies have different time limits (I believe it's 30-60 days depending on the company). Try to track down the customer service phone # for your card issuer and call them to explain the situation. Hopefully you are pleasantly suprised.

Good luck. Sorry to see yet another person burned by New Wave. I was fortunate enough to hear about their business practices early on and avoided them. It's good to see people speak up when they have these types of problems. It helps saves others like me from bad business people.

likeafish30 Jul 2003 1:19 a.m. PST

cool!

Im going to try and warn everyone about them. All my friends know, and hopefully they should spread the word!
