Not surprised. Inflation is real, and the cost of energy is high. Result: Prices go up.

It's not like companies actually want to raise prices. They don't— heck, if they can sell it to you at a lower price than their competitors and still make a profit, any company worth its salt will do that in a heart beat. They'd make out like bandits on that deal. It's a no-brainer. But when they can't make a profit, raising prices is the only thing they can do.

The costs of doing business are: taxation, materials, energy, labor, warehousing, distribution, marketing, advertising. Business will attempt to cut cost on these in reverse order, but at each stage there's only so much which can be cut. NONE of them can be taken to zero, and some of them probably can't even be cut at all— namely the first three, as they are largely outside of a business's control. And if a business were running as efficiently as possible, then none of these could be cut at all— result, prices go up.

That's how the world works. TANSTAAFL.

Unlike some other mini makers there a real company with all the over heads.
What i mean by that is the more cottage hobby end of the industry skips many of there costs like waged labour and warehousing, there often one man bands in sheds and garages, wages are beer money not 40 hours of PAYE via the tax man.

6% is a lot. Inflation rate in the UK is 4%. So when we're getting pressed on all sides – food, necessities – when a hobby jacks its prices this much, it's time to cut Warlord miniatures and look for alternatives, or just admit the hobby will have to take a back seat to other priorities.

a real company with all the overheads? so the rest of us are make believe and to say that firms dont wwant a rise in price is the most misguided statement ever said, itf this was true how come all the energy companies have doubled there profit? Never heard such a misguided insulting set of people

I'm not trying to call any one out or say that any is not running a legal serious business.
What referring to is that no every body has the same overheads to cover.

As for prices well the whole sale price of gas is back to 2018 levels and bills are not even close.

Doing some checking of two vehicles that I purchased in 2014 the Brumbar was $35 USD back then and it is currently selling for $55 USD and the Elefant was selling for $36 USD back then and is currently selling for $57 USD so prices have really gone up in 10 years.
