I'm in the process of making a British force for 'O' Group, based on 4th King's Shropshire Light Infantry, the senior infantry battalion in 11th Armoured Division. My current focus is the carrier platoon – in 'O' Group terms, 3 infantry squads and a PIAT group with 3 carriers. I'm doing a mounted and dismounted version and will eventually add a 4th squad and carrier. The models are in 15mm.

The carriers are Plastic Soldier Co. and the occupants are mostly the Plastic Soldier crew figures but with late-war British heads from Peter Pig and quite a lot of modification to get the sorts of poses I wanted. I also added some stowage and scratch built a couple of Sten guns.

You can see one of the finished Sten guns with the figure in the right rear compartment of this carrier, carefully positioned so you can't see that it doesn;t have a trigger. Even so, I've be nervous sitting opposite him.

Chuck that sten-gun into the room!

My dad used to drive home from work with a loaded sten-gun on the passenger seat.

Nasty weapon.
