Bill, nice pc hit piece there. The reason the school voted back the names was simply because the 2020 school board that changed it, did so after caving in to outside leftist demands, and did so without public notification, or public input, which was a clear violation of their own policy. After numerous polls and discussion on this, it was found that approx. 90% of the area favored the old names and not the new ones, and due to the actions of the 2020 board at the recent elections, they were voted out en masse and a new board voted in. "Celebrating slave state leaders" is a bs sentence and you know it. |

I ride with Murphy and all who do not seek to destroy history simply because they disagree with it like upset children. |

"Celebrating slave state leaders" is a bs sentence and you know it. That's a quote from the article's heading. |

Those who forget history are doomed to something or other. Those who destroy history in order to rebuild a utopia only succeed in destroying history. |

This is why bipartisanship is important. Otherwise what one majority changes the next majority can change back. |

Jackson never had a slave and taught reading to the Black Kids in Lexington on Sunday's, so they could read the Bible. He was always in trouble with the Heads of VMI because of this, but teaching the Kids to read was more important than his earthly Job. calling leftist children is insulting to children |

That's a quote from the article's heading. Well the Guardian article was certainly unbiased!! The headline most of all! The Guardian is a pretty hard left wing paper. We are not going to get a very fair representation of the issues at play. People like their heritage and don't want their history destroyed. I am very happy to see this development. I am feed up with woke deconstructionism. |

Bill N, it's not a majority. They cave to a vocal practically militant minority backed by Big Money Marxists. I think the election results speak volumes on the issue. |

"That's a quote from the article's heading." Doesn't matter who said it or where it's from. It's a bs statement/sentence and you (as well as everyone else), knows it. |

The Guardian is famously Liberal in outlook…"Leftist" if you're on the right…but not left of any Socialist. Born out of Manchester middle class non-conformism. They're fiercely and proudly independent of political bias and influence, lacking as they do a billionaire owner. Trying to allow everyone a voice and cover both sides of any issue does make for a very mixed bag of opinion pieces. They're also famous for their spelling mistakes…hence the paper's nickname of "The Grauniad" |

It makes me wonder, depending on how the political wind blows at the federal level if any of the military bases will get change back at some point?? I am not an expert, but I assume the federal government decides the names??? Just a thought??? |
