Haven't played Dystopian Wars since before the pandemic! A buddy and I put our Empire of the Blazing Sun and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth land forces on the tabletop for an enjoyable game of Dystopian Wars Fleet Action. AAR on my blog here: link

Are you using the original rules, or the one put out by the new owners? For some reason I really don't care that much for the new factions.

We use the Dystopian Wars Fleet Action "faster play" rules Spartan published in 2017 soon before they fell apart. I agree with you and we've ignored all the new stuff. They published TOEs for nearly everything in their product range for Fleet Action and that material is all still available on the Warcradle site here: link

Great right up. Agree with not using new models and rules!

Nice AAR! Good to see DW land vehicles at play as well.

My group is a bit odd it would seem: We use a *few* of the new models with 2.5 rules and older Spartan minis, mostly using The People's Front Of Antarctica Group rules for the new models.

I've still got loads of Dystopian Wars and Armoured Clash minis from the first edition… They're terrific models. Even back then though the rules left me cold. I remember when 2nd Edition came out around 2014 or so and it still didn't peak my interest. I ended up making my own "grand tactical" style rules instead! Cool to see that there is still interest in the game as I like to see them on the table regardless of system.
