"How many strictly miniatures games in a month?" Topic

Title question had to be shortened up, but pretty much says it all. How many miniatures games do you participate in a given month? If it is miniatures, it counts.

At my game warren Northridge CA this week there are three games on tap. The increased gaming mainly due to several cancelled weather related games in Feb or early March.

Monday past was FOW in Berlin 1945 Version 3.0 rules

Wednesday a small corps size Napoleonic scenario testing Fire and charge rules actions from the group rules.

Saturday either Victory at Sea patio sized 1/700 scenario, or if it rains, indoors with Blood and Plunder gaming.

Typically plan one scenario game each week and bonus mid-week game once per month with the retired players.

So…..4-5 games per month on average.

Game Warren plays on rotation basis:
Blood and Plunder – 28mm with ships or land actions
Ancients – Clash of Empires 25/28mm
War Spanish Succession – 25mm
AWI – 28mm
Napoleonic – 25/28mm
ACW – 15mm
WWI – Flames of War sub-variants 20mm
WWII – Flames of War 15mm and 20mm collections
Wings of Glory/war
Oak and Iron Pirate naval
Victory at Sea – 1/700 collection on patio

Currently 4 or 5 games a month.

Every Tuesday night we play a game of something usually at someone's home. On of the Rampant family at least once a month. Otherwise it is someone's current project.

Also try to get in a game on a couple of Saturdays if my honey do list is not excessive.

3–10. DBA and DBN one day each month and several games per session, plus other games too whne possible.

Our group Big Muddy Historical Gaming Alliance – St. Louis has a game each Thursday in which I participate and a monthly game day which account for gfive.

I also play Pike & Shotte at a friends house each week as well.

Usually 1 every 5-6 weeks (RPG using miniatures); full-blown mini's games (mass battles) are around 1 every 12-18 months. [Grinding/gnashing teeth…] Cheers!

Unless dreams count? I've been doing games with dead wargamers lately.

About 4 but tournaments and things bring the number to more than 48 total for the year.

Usually 4-6. This past month will be an exception due to playing several games at Jacksonville Garrison's SkirmishCon. I play every Friday and 90% of the time that game is miniatures. I also play once every 2-3 Wednesdays with several other retirees and that is always a miniatures game. So some months 6 miniature games and others 4 games.

Depends on the month. On average, one or fewer.

One for sure. Then I will try to get in a couple of solo games if I can.

Varies a lot, but the average since 2020 (when the pandemic and fatherhood shook up things) is a bit more than one miniatures play per month.

OH! And sometimes Mrs. PzGeneral indulges me. Just last Sunday we played a learning game of Grimdark Future. We fought to a draw….

We probably manage 3 to 4 figure games a month, and I solo play a similar number.

Lately, I play maybe 6 miniatures games a year, so 0.5 games per month.
