Okay. Yes. They came free with Wargames Illustrated. Talk about a gateway drug. I love the English Civil War (or the War of Three Kingdoms) and became interested in the period for gaming during my first tour in Europe. I have an extensive collection for King and Parliament in 28 mm so when the Epic Pike and Shotte came out from Warlord Games, I thought they looked cool but I was not going to start another large army for the same period, no matter how good it looked, in another scale. Then the free give away and I thought, I love One Hour Wargames and I was looking for a new period to do with the rules. Ta-Dah! link |

I painted one of my strips. Loved the way they turned out…but it took my 3 hours to paint. And given there are 8 strips to a unit….I couldn't spend 24 hours per unit painting….. But they do look great…. Dave |

Great idea and an excellent painting tutorial. I was gifted a sprue but opted to go with Pendraken. The Epic figures are nice and I found that if you wanted to break up the stands it was easy enough and they split along the line of the figures. |

PzGeneral – that's the beauty of OHW; in the basic rules each army is 8 stands. |

FusilierDan – I'll be doing some conversions for OHW that way. |

Love all of Neil Thomas's rules, which are easily modified. |
