Interesting video. link First episode: Ukrainian FVP drone attacks Russian T-80. Delivers an accurate strike to the most vulnerable spot, but the ammunition does not detonate. Probably, Russian tank crews take with them a minimum of ammunition on a sortie to suppress a target, avoiding the detonation of ammunition. The second episode is more interesting. The Russian T-80 is equipped with mobile short-range electronic warfare, which deprives the FVP drone of control when approaching the tank. Lots of ineffective attacks. |

The Ukrainians have been experimenting with a new mode for the drones, where the operator 'locks on' to a target, and the FPV drone then proceeds on its own (not requiring further guidance). Also, in a number of videos, the Russian anti-drone tech seems completely ineffective. The anti-tech drone is visible, but the drone still hits the target. Seems the Ukrainians are able to thwart the anti-drone tech. |

We are talking about various drones. The FPV drone is the main drone used on the battlefield. This is an ordinary cheap commercial drone with an RPG charge and the like taped to it. And this is the drone from which both sides are now suffering the main losses directly on the battlefield. It is simply not suitable for the upgrades you are talking about – it will simply lose its main advantage – cheapness and simplicity. You are talking about drones like the Russian Lancet – this is a projectile of a completely different class. There is no such thing as an absolute weapon. But the British claim that the Russian army shoots down ten thousand Ukrainian drones a month: PDF link Ineffective?))) |
