The Houthis have been provided with a wide variety of Iranian missiles and drones for use in their attacks against international shipping in the Red Sea. These are typically reverse-engineered copies of foreign designs or their derivatives. The Iranians stationed the MV Behshad, which is configured for intelligence gathering and surveillance as well as operating as a mothership for smuggling operations, in the Red Sea. IIRC officers provide tracking, target identification, and coordinate Houthi attacks from the Behshad. To date, more than one hundred attacks have been launched by the Houthis, many of those have been directed against U.S. Navy warships. More on the Iranian ships and weapons used in these attacks here:

As long as no real strong aggressive punitive kinetic actions are taken by the USA, UK, etc. against Iran. Nothing will change in this conflict …

Yup, their "infrastructure" is so minimal you can't "decapitate" it. Their missiles are so cheap they don't have to care about counterstrikes. The Iranian radar vessels are essentially immune. This is really aggravating, since it's costing other people a lot of money. "Boots on the ground" is an answer, but a very bad one. The Iranian radar ships and the transports with missiles and missile parts could have unfortunate accidents, but that's risky. It's a disgrace, bother we are.

This is also contributing to whatever horrible thing is about to happen in Egypt.

I'm just glad these people haven't discovered hacking.

You just need a "pirate" ship appear and attack the Iranian Intell ship and the transports. Just a little money and I bet you could hire a good number of disadvantaged individuals with boats to make it happen, throw in a bonus for the family if a "pirate" gets killed.

Gee this sounds familiar. Target data for Houthis problem.

Where is Mr. Limpet when we need him?

India has a strong presence in the area and has been taking naval action as of late. Perhaps they are not commanded by weenie men who are afraid to do something to solve the problem.

Ukraine, Hothies, Israel, it's all the same war with the same puppetmasters behind it. Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Chinese Communists.

The US just needs to start shooting their damn control ships out of the water and then repeat the line "we can neither confirm nor deny" when asked about it.

I think the Indians are covering the Somali basin while much of the international coalition, both the US and EU-led, are now dealing with Yemen. Weenie men? USS Eisenhower has flown about 250 missions against elusive Houthi missile sites and targets since November. The battle group has destroyed 100 anti-ship missiles. Four straight months of near daily ops for this group.

I like the pirate ship idea! Or why not turn to the guys who sank half the Russian navy? We borrow a couple of Ukranian sea drones, with Ukranians. They go in at night and take out the surveillance ship. We pick up the Iranian survivors to hold as hostages, claim they were spying on us. Which they were. We tell Iran that the Russians sank their ship, got away in a Chinese balloon. We had nothing to do with it.

The Houthi's are now using surface remote controlled boats to attack. The navy has deployed both surface and sub-surface drone craft in the region.

I bet some PMCs could fill this role. Even fly the Jolly Roger … 🏴‍☠️

This has such an obvious solution. Insert special forces to make a drone strike against the ship from Houthi territory. Express sympathy to the Iranians that they too got hit by these horrible terrorists. Proving that they weren't requires them to admit that the Houthi's were hitting targets they designated.

Change attack ordinance. Going back to napalm would clear some areas.
They now try to use such pin point ammo to reduce civilian casualties.
Go back to area clearing weapons would be more effective.

"The Houthi's are now using surface remote controlled boats to attack"

They have been since 2016

Nope -- napalm is too precise, we should be using Thermobaric bombs!

Thermobaric bombs work for me … We have to terrorize the terrorists …
