I've never ordered a single thing from overseas, so I'm asking how long does it usually take to receive something from the UK? Thinking of ordering directly from Pendraken and Victrix.

I'm in the US.

On the fast end of the scale, 6 days (GZG). Usually around 2 weeks. Mostly depends on how their stock levels are. If they have to cast/cut the items then could be months.

Note that shipping costs from UK are terrible.

That being said, I have gotten great service from UK vendors and usually very quick.

Neither Victrix or Pendraken shipping costs seem that high.

We cast to order so it's usually around 10-14 days for us to manufacture the items, and then another 10-14 for them to arrive in the US.

Sometimes packages appear within a week but that seems to be rare. Equally some can take a little longer at times too.

The critical difference seems to be with tracking. I've had some packages delivered for about $10 USD, and other similar packages for $35. USD Something small, like decals can be delivered for only a few dollars.

Victrix is terrible for shipping at about $10 USD per unit bag. And it just keeps going up as you add more – there does not seem to be a shipping max on their web cart.

It has changed in recent years. I used to get stuff from the UK in a week to ten days. Now it is at least two weeks and sometimes longer. You just need to be patience. However, I must say that I now try to buy only from the US dealers. Still, I am currently waiting some figures from a US company for six weeks! So maybe I have to rethink things. One UK company that I really trust to delivery promptly is Irregular. They are the best.

I can't speak for Victrix but I have ordered from Pendraken dozens of times. Nothing but spectacular service from them. Usually around 2-3 weeks from order placement to order arrival.

I've ordered twice from Pendraken in the past four and a half months. They cast to order. It was about four weeks to make the order and eight to ten days to ship to me. I have been happy with the service.

For me ship times from Great Britain have been in the eight to ten days range for Warbases and Perry as well.

I've ordered twice from Victrix over the last two months and service has been excellent. Both orders were received in less than 10 days from the Uk to the US (Philadelphia). Excellent service.

Average time for me is around 2 weeks. Postage charges vary a lot from dealer to dealer.

I have ordered many times from UK miniature companies and have always had great results. Nothing to worry about. In fact, I envy the US because you don't have a VAT so Customs has no reason to lay extra charges on your orders.

Everything I order from Peter Pig usually comes super quick. I can't speak for other suppliers.

No complaints about turn around times for stuff I've ordered from B & B, Irregular and Jacklex. Shipping costs seem to vary widely. I'm on the East coast, so that could figure into the equation as well.

If you are looking for Victrix stuff I would suggest Shieldwall Gaming, Badger Games, or Mich Toy Soldier. They all carry them, and no International postage. you will have to compare the pricing with Victrix, if there is a sale on the Victrix site it might be cheaper there. Pendraken is a pleasure to deal with direct.

The issue all of us UK suppliers face is that if an order is bulky it has to go small parcel, which is expensive even before you add tracking. I won't go into the details of why this changed from a previously affordable price because it's political and involves Agent Orange. ;-)

Small orders for non-bulky items can usually go in large letter packaging, which is far more affordable.

Tracked stuff can get to the US and through customs in a week. Otherwise, two to three weeks seems normal. Ungodly bad luck can see items take six-plus weeks.

Bloody Miniatures and Peter Pig both provide pretty quick shipping.

As a reminder, Dark Horse Hobbies (In Kansas) carries (stocks) Pendraken and Victrix. You can see the stock level before you place the order and he ships the next business day. Leon can attest how much Dark Horse has been selling and am surprised he did not mention Dark Horse in his post!

Perry and Bad Squiddo have both been very good about shipping promptly, and things have come in a week or two. Bad Squiddo is available from Badger here in the US, so I usually order things through them (except for a few of their things Badger doesn't carry).

Every time I check, Dark Horse is sold out of many Pendraken codes. I guess we just need to time it right.

Mr. Tibbs- They have a "Let me know when you receive restocks" button for the item you want but is out of stock. With literally hundreds of numbers to stock, they need to know what people are looking for. While I also email with them to let them know what I wanted, they seem to respond quicker. I'm just glad I can get them in the USA!

Victrix is great, usually no more than one week to the Gulf Coast.
