Anyone know what the usual towing vehicle was for the 18/25pdr guns used by the BEF in France. The first C8 Quad was delivered in October ‘39 so guessing they took something else with them to France. |

The Morris was used in France, along with the Light and Medium Dragon tractors. |

The 1937 WEs allowed for either "Dragons, light, or tractors, 6-wheeled, FA", which on the superseding 1938 WE was reduced to 'Tractors, FA". As noted though new equipment took a while to reach units so there was variation in who had what and when. Gary |

The Morris was used in France Are you referring to the C8 Quad? Presumably with units sent later as the first BEF units started leaving in September ‘39 and the first C8 was delivered in October. I gather the Morris 6 wheel CDSW is a possibility or either light or medium Dragon. The 1937 WEs allowed for either "Dragons, light, or tractors, 6-wheeled, FA", The 6 wheeled is the CDSW presumably. |

Yes the C8 Quad. I also forgot to mention the Guy Quad Ant. |
