Here's some setup photos from Return to Moria, a War of the Rings game that was held at Little Wars last weekend. An overview of the table. The board is around 4X9 feet. url=https://postimages.org/]
Durin's Causeway (games were based on Balin's Expedition, so it was still intact then, as was the missing span that Boromir almost steps off in the movie!) url=https://postimages.org/]
The underground river (figured there must have been one), the King's Bridge (made that one up, too), with the Bridge of Khazad-dûm in the background url=https://postimages.org/]
Dwarves climbing the Great Stairs (well, one of the Great Stairs), as seen from the Mines url=https://postimages.org/]
The First Hall (actually it's the 21st) with the Chamber of Marzabul in the background url=https://postimages.org/]
The Iron Forge url=https://postimages.org/]
Goblintown and the chambers leading down to it (a beer cellar, an armory and the Chamber of Three Passages) url=https://postimages.org/]
Games ran all weekend at Little Wars. It was a lot of fun. Will send more photos from some of the games later in the week. |

"It was even more impressive in person." It was actually, pretty impressive. I took probably a dozen photos of it, and will have some of them up on my blog review that I will post the link here. |
