Can anyone suggest a source on British involvement in Portugal in these years? I've come across mentions before of some kind of mission or small expedition, but little in the way of detail on the forces or the mission. Anyone know anything about it?

There's an interesting presentation by Gareth Glover about the British in Portugal 1796-1802. YouTube link

Thanks for sharing that- I knew about the War of the Oranges, but had no idea that British troops were still in Portugal when it happened.

Fortescue Vol. IV Pt 2 pages 601-605 has a list of forces and details their time in Portugal.
