I bought and played these rules a few times several years ago and rediscovered them in a recent house move. I suspect we are doing the turn sequence wrong as we did an igo/ugo with ambush/reserve fire options. The game went well and we had a good time, but after rereading the turn order section I am not sure. Does player 1 complete all phases of his turn before play passes to player 2 or does each player alternate in each phase? If the later, then I am equally unsure about move then fire or fire then move rule. Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide. |

Does it matter? Try it either way and use whichever you prefer. |

I think the authors are still active with the Grimsby(?) club and can be found on Facebook. I seem to recall the rules requiring the use of special measuring sticks? |

The authors are from Hull, not Grimsby. Hull is north of the river Humber and a terrible place. Grimsby is south of the river Humber and a much nicer place. :^) Best wishes, Martin (from Grimsby) |

Hi there. As one of the authors of the rules I am happy to answer any questions. Please PM me. To answer that specific one, Player A carries out their entire turn, then Player B, taking into account Reserve/Ambush fire. And yes we are in Hull in "Gods Own Country" of Yorkshire, not "some foreign place" south of the River Humber, which keeps us safe from the barbarians on the far bank of it!! (Only joking of course……………..) |

Worgaimz, Thanks. I guess we are doing that part right. I am not sure I have PM enabled. The only other question we have for now is small arms fire. I see a section can split fire, but can two sections gang up to combine fire points on a target for one roll on chart or do they roll individually? We are allowing combined, but seems very deadly especially vs. guns and hmg crews. Thanks. |

Hi. To answer your question, we do allow units to combine firepower, especially when units are depleted or with low points totals such as HQ sections. It generally averages out casualties inflicted and saves a number of dice rolls, but in some cases generate a high casualty number from one dice roll. Its a case of using common sense on when and where to allow merging of fire. Should you have anymore questions, whilst I am happy to answer on this forum you might wish to contact me direct through my website or Facebook pages: Graham Birkley Wargames. Hope this helps. Worgaimz, I seem to recall there being pictures of a Dutch army on the now defunct Panzer Marsch website. Any chance you could share some snaps for inspiration? |

I will see if I can find them and post them here. Not sure where they are on my system. |

That would be swell! But does that mean that the actual figures are no longer around, since it appears you won't be taking new snaps? |

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. I have searched my files and cannot find the images of the Dutch forces mentioned above. They are not my figures and so I am unable to take any fresh ones. Cheers |
