Fascinating piece. Never knew about the vibrant painted colors. The note that these soldiers all have unique elements in their sculpture (as the ears) is a testament to the artists who created them.
(Though at one point I was thinking, "Bright paints, excessive attention to detail… maybe they were wargamers…")

Very interesting article. A picture book with the figures recreated in color might be enough for me to paint some Chinese ancients!
