Sterling Robert Cale, a Pearl Harbor survivor who served the United States throughout World War II, and also in Korea and Vietnam, and then met thousands of visitors as a volunteer at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, died Jan. 20 at his home in Aiea. He was 102… Military: link |

Wow commandeered a boat and dived into oil-soaked burning water to rescue survivors, as well as the dead and dying…. Those are MOH level actions! Transferred to the Army in Korea and rose to CSM. PTSD whenever he got near a beach… o7 salute and RIP. Now who is cutting onions… |
