Screwdriver and chuck are each $20 USD, I've been using the low power, two speed Dremel with the rechargeable battery and the drill chuck, available together on Amazon for $32 USD and is rechargeable. I use the pressure of my thumb on the chuck to control speed.

I have a dremel tool for the same use among many others. But if you don't have one I guess this would be the next best thing.
