This is my Irritated Christmas Drow Barwench.
If you were a Drow barwench and had to dress like that, wouldn't you be irritated?!
Though I prefer to think that she just came across Hurley Ralphson from Ginfritter's Gnomish Workshop.
(I soooo need to paint that mini. Uh oh, I see a diorama in my future.)
This is another delightful Hasslefree mini provided by our illustrious Editor. Great miniature with very little prep needed at all. Did I mention I love Hasslefree Miniatures?
Primed with Reaper Pro Paint White Primer, and pinned to a pre-made resin base.
And here we go....
In these first two pictures (I forgot to take pictures of the earlier steps), you can see that I've laid in the basic colors and done some preliminary shading.
The green skirt and head scarf thing are Reaper Master Series (RMS) Viper, Brilliant and Peacock Green.
The red corset and shoes are RMS Clotted, Carnage and Magma Red.
The white blouse, skirt and towel are painted using Vallejo Neutral Grey and many, many thin layers of white - and still managed to look gritty. Feh!
Drow Skin for the... well.... skin
A little Vallejo Game Color Glorious Gold for trim and lacings on the corset.
Here I've indulged in my "OCD level" of painting.
I've added a border to the towel using the same reds as the corset.
The green bits have acquired a design of leaves and berries, using RMS Carnage Red and more Glorious Gold.
Some work on the face
The eyes are RMS Indigo Sky, black, and white.
The lips are RMS Clotted and Magma Red.
The pitcher is painted with Derivan Midway Blue, Vallejo Game Color Wolf Grey, and white - with happy little trees with whatever leftover greens were on the pallet.
The tankards are done with Vallejo Gunmetal Grey and Vallejo Silver, with black outlining.
The foam is made up of RMS Oiled Leather and white.
Here's a poor overhead shot showing the finished mini and the base:
Speaking of the base... I used a mix that works well for sandstone: RMS Shadowed Stone, Tanned Shadow and Weathered Stone.
And here she is:
Enjoy!
Happy Holidays and thanks for reading!
