Well, I wasn't planning to do another Battle Mech, but I started to feel guilty about the one-armed Megatron left surplus after the last project…
Above, you can see that I've already reposed the left arm and head, and have found a suitable arm replacement from a Final Faction action figure weapons set. I've drilled out the gun barrels.
The gun was designed to plug into the accessories hole on an action figure, so it is easy to drill a hole in the torso to match the pin.
Above, you can see the figure with the new 'arm' in place, primed and ready to paint.
And here is the finished Battle Mech.
This was an easy project, as it built upon what I had already learned with the previous mecha.
The Final Faction action figures and accessory packs are a very useful source for weapons and gadgets, though some are in soft plastic and some in hard plastic.
The army list doesn't allow me to legally field a fourth Battle Mech until my army reaches 200 points, so this one will stay in reserve.
When the army hits 200 points, though, I can add three more Battle Mechs. So I better pick up two more Megatrons at the dollar store for future development…
Now, I really need to get to work on my Mechanoid Installation!
