As you know, the TMP Workbench often spotlights the talent of professional painters. The most interesting painting service that we've recently learned of happens to be the first based out of South America - PaintingPRO. To give them a little more exposure, we invited them to be part of our Simian Army Project

Ramiro Peira of PaintingPRO sends the following introduction:

Some weeks ago, I wrote an e-mail to TMP asking for our sites to be linked.

This past Wednesday, the 20th of August, I received an e-mail. It was from Bill Armintrout, the editor of The Miniatures Page, confirming that my painting company was going to be linked with TMP. Also, in that email, he included some info about the 100 Kingdoms project - and immediately, when I read it, I answered giving my confirmation. Bill told me that it could be a good opportunity to showcase my work in a public forum, as well as giving me the chance to teach painting techniques to a large audience. So, I'm the latest TMP Workbench participant.

First of all, my name is Ramiro Peira and I am from Rosario, Argentina. In all of South America, I'm the only miniatures painter who is providing painting services (through the web).

I have a miniatures painting services company called PaintingPRO. I'm the owner and the painter, too.

Uriah Jacobus

I have painted 28mm miniatures (the usual GW scale) but have worked in other scales as well - such as 25mm, 15mm and HO (I will publish some pictures of these in a few days at my site). I'm not only a painter, as I also make conversions (generally of Warhammer 40k miniatures). I have built some dioramas, but I don't sell them - they are too big and expensive to send them all over the world!

Azrael

I like painting fantasy and 40k miniatures. I love the style of GW miniatures. I usually paint miniatures with a white undercoat, but sometimes I use black. I prefer warm highlighting and deep shadows, but sometimes I use another painting style - I've used cold highlights on Arzael (above) and Ezqeuiel (below), and I really like how they turned out.

Ezequiel

The picture below is a Space Marine Chaplain that I converted from a Space Marine Chaplain and two plastic Space Marines. I've also used the axe from a Chaos Beastmen. I think that it's very nice, and it's a unique miniature.

If you want to know about my prices, how I paint, some painting techniques, please visit my website. And - if you like what you've seen - most of the miniatures shown here are for sale. And already painted!

Cadian Shock Troops

Ramiro will be painting two Simian Senators for TMP.
