The pilot I decided to keep simple. I painted his jacket and cap Vallejo British Uniform, and pants in Americana Raw Umber, shaded using Americana Soft Black, and highlighted by adding Ceramcoat Pineapple to the base colors.
The boots were black, and highlighted by adding Americana Slate Grey to the base color. The T shirt was painted black, and highlighted using Americana Victorian Blue to the black. The skin was painted using Burnt Sienna as a base, and I then added Vallejo Base Skin to the color as a highlight.
I painted a few strips under the lapels for name and affiliation - like out troops have today - and I gave him little captain bars on the round plate on his cap.
