As you've probably read, we've launched a Painting Project with the goal of assembling a painted 1,000 point Demonworld Dwarven army, for ultimate use in website features and for demonstration purposes at conventions. Two weeks ago, 4 Demons Painting began work on the first of three infantry units - Dwarven militia armed with mining tools.

Dwarven Crossbowmen crowded on the Editor's workbench

Today, work begins on the second infantry unit. Our army already had fighting power with the inexpensive militia unit, but it needed some ranged combat capability - so the second unit is a Dwarf Crossbow Archers unit.

We've selected Old Guard Painters to paint this unit for TMP. This professional painting service is truly international - with contact people in the U.S. and Denmark, and painters in Denmark and the Ukraine. I haven't seen any of their fantasy work yet, but pictures of their medieval work look good.
