miscmini Fezian writes:

Painting the resin kits is fairly straightforward. I used Rust-Oleum Gray Automotive Primer, and followed that up with Vallejo paints.

To add a little variety to the models, I decided that I would give one a distictive red tail, and another model would show an area that had been repaired.

To show repaired damage, I gave one of the models a rudder of a different color. Someplace in this plane's history, its rudder became unserviceable (combat or being pushed into some immovable object). The unserviceable rudder was replaced by one from a hangar queen.

Basic painting complete

With the basic painting complete, I moved on to highlighting and weathering. I used lighter tints of the basic colors for highlights, silver to represent areas of chipped paint, and I used dark-colored artist oils (thinned) as a final touch.
