The casting quality is great. There was only minimal mould lines to remove. BasingAs the game uses a unit formation (3x2 in the case of the Legionaires), I wanted to use square bases for the models. ![]() I used 28mm bases made of plastic card. (I also used the same material for the regimental base.) ![]() It is quite easy to handle the plasticard, just cut it with a sharp modelling knife and break it off. ![]() The border of the regimental base is made of modeling wood. ![]() I calculated the regimental base a bit too large - but it is better to have 2mm of gaps, than to miss 2mm and the models don't fit! ![]() The miniatures and the wooden border were glued with superglue to the plasticard. ![]() ![]() ![]() The level differences between the miniatures bases and the plasticcard were flattened with Milliput. ![]() PrimingThe miniatures and the regimental base were primed black. I used Citadel spray primer, followed by a layer of Chaos Black applied with a large brush. ![]() |
