This figure was based on the web-image of an actual bright blue frog. It was painted using a wet-blending technique with Deadly Nightshade (an old OOP colour) and Ice Blue; all the shading was achieved by merging tiny amounts of these two colours in various combinations on the surface of the figure. The spots were painted in Fiery Orange, highlighted with Fiery Orange mixed with a small amount of white, then with Blood Angel Orange. The tongue is Scab Red, highlighted with Blood Red. This figure was coated over all with a satin varnish, to give a "wet look" shine.
