Intrigued by the fact that two different makes of storage cabinet had near-identical sizes of drawers, I decided to try one more brand!

The Stack-On storage cabinet

At Wal-Mart, I encountered the 22 Drawer Storage Cabinet from Stack-On. The one I purchased was a metallic green plastic cabinet with clear plastic drawers.

This one is almost a compromise between the brands previously featured. It has a sturdier design than the EMPlast cabinet, but not as sturdy as the Akro-Mils. The drawers are quite similar to the EMPlast drawers, but have a larger handle with a no-slip texture. While the cabinet is stackable, stacked cabinets have no "lock together" feature. However, there are holes in the back to secure the cabinet to a wall.

And the drawers are roughly the same size as all the others!

But are they flat?

OK, so you know by now that I want flat drawer bottoms to cooperate with magnetic sheet lining...

The small drawer, lined with magnetic sheet

The good news is that instead of a "spike," the small drawers have a slight depression (which doesn't hurt anything). There's also a raised logo and a raised number, but these are so low that they don't seem to bother anything.

The large drawer, lined with two pieces of magnetic sheet

The large drawer is the same - which makes these the flattest drawers so far.

The Finished Cabinet

The cabinet is done

Once again, it only takes minutes to slap the pre-cut adhesive magnetic sheet from Litko into place.

The clear plastic makes it easy to see what is in the drawers.

Microscale AFVs fill a small drawer

You can cram a lot of small-scale models in the small drawers...

15mm scale Russian heavy MG teams from Battlefront

...or a good number of medium-size models in the large drawers.
