Time to work on a new shield. A compass and a straight edge were used to produce a shape in styrene of the proportion found in Osprey 129 – Plate C.

Evergreen strip was then used to frame out the shield edging.

To create the boss on the front of the shield, a 6mm bead was cut in half, and a very small ring cut from a ¼-inch styrene tube. Squadron Green Putty thinned with styrene cement was used to clean up some edges and the hole in the bead.
