Reader Igwarg finishes final details on the wolves, then moves on to their Orc riders:

Saddlecloths were painted dark brown, and highlighted light red brown using a #1 brush. Skulls were painted yellow brown and highlighted off-white, using the round sable brush.

Orc flesh was painted medium green, and highlighted light green using a round brush. (In the picture below, the Orc on the left is highlighted.)

Spear shafts, shields, and boots were painted dark brown.

The spears, shields and boots have been painted

Spears were highlighted with medium brown, shields with red, boots with red brown, and fur on boots with yellow brown, all using a round brush.

Highlights really add to the look of the figures

Metallic parts were touched up with black. Chainmail shirts were "painted" with a #2 pencil. (In the photo below, the figure on the right has a painted mail shirt.)

Some belts were painted red (Orcs' favorite color) and highlighted with light red. Some were painted with red brown.

Decals were applied, and shields were given one more coat of red around the decals to bring them out. Eyes were painted yellow, teeth off-white, belt buckles and spear tips were painted metallic colors.
