I began by painting the linen top with a mix of GW Bleached Bone and P3 Moldy Ochre. I thinned the paint with water - 60% paint to 40% water.
Once the paint was dry, I washed the paint with a mix of GW Snakebite Leather and GW Golden Yellow. I thinned the wash with water, and thinned it approximately 10 parts water to 1 part paint. The wash should be thin enough that when applied to newspaper, it is still readable.
It was applied in the creases and folds of the linen top.
Once the top was done, the linen base color was touched up where the wash was not needed, and then white was added to the mix, and the top was highlighted up until pure white was applied in the very highest areas.
