A wash of Liquitex Raw Umber mixed with some gloss varnish was applied to the flesh, reds and brown basecoats.

The eyes were painted using white and raw umber.

Black was painted at the intersections where silver paint would be adjacent to an already applied color. This actually is done to define the two colors but mainly to mask any mistakes....also will eliminate those white seams that are often seen on painted miniatures.
