I like to use Krylon paints, as they are readily available and on the upper tier of quality for their price. I used Ultra Flat Black for the basecoat spray. I drybrushed with FolkArt's 910 Slate Blue, and highlighted with 765 Porcelain Blue and GW's Space Wolves Grey.

Painted base

I liked the look, and so decided not to detail the base any further with moss, vines, and other items.
