Dread Pirate Garness continues:
The hands and gun barrels were painted grey. They were then shaded with thinned black. The highlights were done with thinned white.
I will again emphasize the thin paint. When it is so thin that it hardly shows up, it gives a lot of control to the painter, and lets you build up the color as much or as little as you like.
