Now comes the best part. The size 00 brush is loaded with pure Devlan Mud wash, and this wash is then liberally applied to the crevices of the model. Do not smear the wash all over the model, but selectively paint it into the edges where panels join each other, etc., to provide some much-needed shading for the model. The wash application need not be overly tidy, a little irregularity helps add interest to the model.
After this the model is done, all that remains is to paint the base black, varnish it twice with Halfords Clear Lacquer, and paint it with Artist's Matt Varnish.
