thanks Munifican. I was just getting frustrated with responses on here . . . sorry. It really bothers me when people feel the need to castigate someone for what they charge for work. I'm not trying to rip anyone off. It's not my full time job, it's for fun but I want to make some money too. As it is these are the last commissions I'm doing for a while really. I'm going to work on competition level stuff until next Spring.

Basing

The basing on these guys was really simple. I added pumice paste to the bases. I let it dry overnight any time I use it. It's great, but you've got to make sure it dries really well.

Then I painted it RPP Volcano Brown, and drybrushed some light RPP Fireglow metallic on it. I do this to create definition to the "soil" and give it a unique look.

Once the paint was dry, I painted on Elmer's glue in various areas, and then sprinkled static grass on the bases. I let it sit to dry, then shook off the excess. To give the finishing touch, I blacked in the base using RMS Pure Black.

Ta Da!

This commission took fieldarchy Fezian 20 hours, and would cost $200 USD (plus $15.00 USD for shipping).
