Stage 9:

The eyes are done in Rowney Cryla Burnt Umber. Blue eyes just look weird on a horse miniature, so I never bother trying to do those.

More titivating on the skewbald:

Red Iron Oxide is drybrushed very carefully onto the markings. The bridle/reins are given a wash in Burnt Umber.

Skewbald - stage nine

Piebald:

A wash of Chaos Black is done over the black markings, just to tone down the contrast between the grey and black a bit.

Stage 10:

The mane and tail are drybrushed with Titanium White. Also tarting up the bridles and other things that are irrelevant to what colour the horse is.

Skewbald:

Liquitex Portrait Pink is applied to the areas of the muzzle around the lips and nostrils. It is blended into the rest of the muzzle with thinned Titanium White.

Skewbald - stage ten

Piebald:

The mixed Chaos Black-Neutral Grey is applied to the areas of the muzzle around the lips and nostrils. It is blended into the rest of the muzzle with thinned Titanium White and/or Chaos Black, depending on the adjacent colour of the horse's head.

Piebald - stage ten

Stage 11:

All finished, and awaiting varnish and/or riders.
