On all Diplomatic Corps models, there are some raised-stripe panels, as well as some areas outlined with panel lines which are meant to be painted red. In this step, these areas are painted with a mix of 2:2:1 Mechrite Red to Scar Red to Black. Some extra stripes are also painted along the hull to balance out the distribution of colour on the miniature.

The red areas are then highlighted with a 1:1 mix of Mechrite Red and Scar Red, followed by pure Bloody Red, and then finally a 3:1 mix of Bloody Red and Sunblast Yellow.
