The artillery crew figures were donated by 19th Century Miniatures from their Battle Honours range. They arrived loose, so I don't know which pack they come from - possibly the figures that come with Battle Honours' own 57mm anti-tank gun.

Now over to PigmentedMiniatures Fezian, who writes:

First, I primed all of the figures with black, then painted the eyes with Reaper Master Series Fair Highlight. It did not have to be perfect, just as long as the eye area was covered.

I then used black to paint in the pupils, and went around the eyes to shape them. (You can see I missed a spot on the left eye. I fixed that up later.)

Vallejo Dark Flesh was used as the basecoat.

Flesh basecoat

I added equal parts Future Floor Wax/water mix and Vallejo Dwarf Flesh to the Dark Flesh. Then I applied it to the figures, leaving some of the Dark Flesh in the recesses.

The flesh is washed and highlighted

After that, I added more Dwarf Flesh and Future mix, and applied it to the cheeks, nose, and chin. The last layer of flesh consisted of diluted Dwarf Flesh and Fair Skin put on all the high points of the faces and hands.
