A day and a half later, I returned to the soaking models. I repeated the cleaning process explained previously, with the results depicted in the accompanying pictures.

Just removed from their 2nd soaking
Painted removed after second soaking
After the final rinse

Although not every bit of paint was removed, most of the paint is gone. I can easily deal with the remaining paint when I sand and prep these models for painting.
