Donrice I use cornmeal because it provides a good dirt texture and it's cheap. I went out once so far in two years and bought a small box of cornmeal for $0.69. If you go by modeling gravel or sand it is more expensive. I also use other basing materials depending on what the mini is being used for but for most tabletop gaming minis I will use the cornmeal. It is cheap, sturdy and looks interesting. |
