Near the beginning of this article, I mentioned that I was making a rocky outcropping hex base. I started by painting the entire base Delta Storm Gray, and washing it with Black Ink. Once it dried, I drybrushed it up several shades (Delta Dolphin Gray and Chambray Blue). I washed the gravel behind the right foot with RP Chocolate Ink, and then picked out a few details on the rocks with Chambray.

Painting the Outcropping

The rocks needed some moss, so I used some tufts of medium green flocking. I also added a light-green bush to the ground, to finish it off. Afterwards, I varnished and sealed the mini. The odd shape of the mini made it pretty difficult to get good photos (it casts nasty shadows and requires a large depth of focus), but hopefully they're good enough to get the point across.

I hope you like my finished product. It was a pleasure to do, and I have enjoyed being a part of LPS2. Thanks for reading, and please vote to keep me in the contest!
