Lastly, they all received a coating of gloss, and then matte to seal in the goodness and give the paintjob a fighting chance versus the dangers of the tabletop. I coat twice to protect the figure once. The gloss is the real protection, like a thick candy coating - while the matte turns the shell invisible.
