Hundvig Fezian is not a real big fan of pre-painted minis, and he positively despises randomly-packed "collectable" ones - so why is he writing this article?

I decided to paint all the metals (including the base) in one go, to save a bit of time (and space in this article!).

Storm Damage

After finishing the metals I thought they looked a bit too clean, so I decied to give them a bit of weathering for that worn/distressed look.

Weathering Step 1

First off, I began by giving the silver areas several thin washes of (VMC) Smoke.

Weathering Step 1

Weathering Step 2

Rust
In patches, I stippled on (GW) Dark Flesh.
Stain
I stippled on patches of (VGC) Dark Green.
Weathering Step 2

Weathering Step 3

Rust
I stippled over the top of the previous layer using (VGC) Hot Orange, leaving some of the previous layer showing.
Stain
Same principle as above, but using (VGC) Jade Green.
Weathering Step 3

Weathering Step 4

Rust
Very sparingly, I stippled on (VGC) Orange Fire.
Stain
I gave it a wash of (VMC) Verdigris.
Weathering Step 4

All the Small Things.....

Just a few tiny details to finish off, not worth the photo's to be honest, so I will keep it to the description rather than loads of photos of obscure/insignificant details.
