The back banner was first painted Americana Toffee, and then highlighted with white.
The Lotus Hawk characters were then painted in, along with the character for "5" (the unit number), followed by "Crucfier" and lastly "Death From Above." At the bottom, the VASA logo was painted.
I don't know what else to tell you about the banner, other than I used a very small brush, and made a whole lot of practice runs to be comfortable with the small characters. It took a good while to do it all and get it right, but the real lesson here is don't rush, and use a really small brush!!! (Did I mention a really small brush?)
