John McEwan over at Reviresco was kind enough to send me an assortment from his line of science fiction tanks.
I at first assumed that these vehicles had something to do with Starguard, John's long-lived science fiction miniatures rules, but then I realized they were the wrong scale for that game! A quick check with John revealed that, though the miniatures could be used with any set of rules that worked with 1/300 scale figures, they were intended for use with a set of rules which are still in development (Days of Empire).
One vehicle stood out among the rest, perhaps due sheerly to its size, or its twin turrets - the Janus VII. Since I don't have the rules yet, I'm not sure what the strengths or affiliations of this vehicle are. I just know that I like it, and I'm sure I can put it to good use on the tabletop under any number of rules.
